Who We Are
Lance miles
facility coordinator & head of athlete development
Texas Rangers
Sam Houston State University
Kansas State University
The Woodlands High School
Lance has always had a passion for sports, leadership and learning. Upon wrapping up his playing career at the Division 1 level, he was brought onto the staff at Sam Houston State University by Coach Matt Deggs. At SHSU, he spent time as the Director of Baseball Operations, the Infield Coach and the Hitting Coach. He left SHSU for an opportunity to be a manager for the Texas Rangers at their international facility in the Dominican Republic. He also spent time as a hitting coach during the AZ Fall League and while at Spring Training in Surprise, Arizona. Throughout his journey across different levels, cultures and positions, it remained clear since the beginning that starting a facility in the community he grew up in would be how his time and energy would be dedicated.
"I love where I am from. I've seen many parts of the world, interacted with diverse groups of people and have experienced how they develop their youth. There are a lot of exciting things going on around the world of baseball but the people that make up Houston, Texas and especially us here on the north side, are cut from the best cloth! I hope to bring my experiences, studies and blend of old school & new school heritage to the families in the area and help reinforce positive, Christ-like values to the athletes. We are working on building a team capable of teaching anyone that comes through our doors or tunes into us online. Our mission is that kids from this area go on to experience the world through the game of baseball and build skills that will suit them well in their career and family-life after baseball."

casey barringer
softball pitching coordinator
Pitching Advantage
Navarro Junior College
Casey started playing softball from the time before she could tie her own cleats. She played her first game at the age of 6 and continued playing non-stop across many leagues. Her career started locally, then progressed to travel ball and high school ball before signing a full scholarship to play for Navarro Junior College. After two full seasons, she decided to hang up the cleats, take on the professional world and start a family. With such a love for the game and the pitching position, she found herself wanting to give back to younger athletes so they may share similar experiences to the ones she had throughout life. This led her to begin working with younger athletes in the area and thrust her to start PITCHING ADVANTAGE, her own private coaching business. Casey partnered up with DSA during their first year of business in 2023 and has been helping make big gains with softball pitchers of all ages in the area since then. Athletes and families love her for her tender and caring approach to the mental side and physical side of the position.

ian toddhunter

Conroe High School
Coach Ian is our jack of all trades. You can find him all over our building running classes, interacting with athletes or making sure the facility is above our standard. He was a wide receiver for Conroe HS and he specializes in speed/agility training as well as running our Functional Movement class where he helps athletes with their posture, positions, loading, and sequencing. He makes our young athletes feel comfortable and can get them through the physical training without being too loud or aggressive. He's always willing to help our older athletes with what they need and can keep things light by discussing new music or shoes that just dropped.

addison lyons
front desk manager
Willis High School
Addison is in charge when it comes to our lounge area. Holding kids accountable to say hello before sessions and goodbye on the way out, keeping the area clean and the coffee re-stocked for all of our visitors are just a couple of ways she sacrifices for the team at DSA. On top of being the senior class president at Willis High School, she has been a committed athlete on the Willis High School Women's Swim Team. Although we will miss her, she will go on to jam Taylor Swift and attend Texas A&M University this Fall. Say hello to Addison next time you stop in!
